Follow Santa’s sleigh tracks around the globe with this fantastic Christmas show starring ‘CJ’s and his musical puppets’… As well as being an accomplished entertainer and musician armed with catchy Christmas songs, CJ is a skilled ventriloquist and performs entertaining sketches with his hilarious puppet friends. (the kids are amazed with the age old art form of ventriloquism and often haven’t previously been exposed to it).
First the audience are introduced to Nigel the crocodile… This crazy croc is loud, loaded with laughs, and has the kids in stitches, especially when he makes up his own Christmas carols and randomly bursts into opera!
The children enjoy using their imagination as they fly in CJ’s aeroplane and sail in his pirate ship to various countries where ‘wise Clive’ teaches them about different Christmas cultures…
In Spain they have a “Feliz Navidad” (a Merry Christmas) where children are introduced to the Flamenco Guitar and an interactive Spanish song that helps teach basic Spanish language. Likewise, in Hawaii the audience has a sing along with “mele kalikimaka” in traditional Hawain ukulele style, and in England they encounter a Dicken’s style Christmas with featured songs including “Jingle Bells”, and “Rudolf the red nosed reindeer”.
Audiences love CJ’s style of timeless variety, comedy, puppetry, fused with fun Christmas songs (with quick to learn dance moves and actions). This exploration of Santa’s journey around the world is a very entertaining experience. Not to mention a visit from THE MAN himself…
After the show a leader helps out by filling 5 minutes with a game or story while CJ changes into his high quality costume, transforming himself completely. Then, with a loud and friendly “ho ho ho” Santa arrives at your centre!
The centre usually provides CJ with gifts for Santa’s sack before the show. Then, following his entrance and a brief welcome message, Santa takes a seat where the children are escorted by a teacher in small groups to meet Santa and receive a gift. On average Santa will spend a few moments with each group, asking questions such as “What are you doing with your family this Christmas” and “What is your favourite thing about Christmas”. You will also have photo opportunities where you can take a photo of Santa with each small group (alternatively, single or whole group photo’s can be taken if preferred). The Santa appearance usually takes around 10 to 15 minutes (approx. 1 hour from start to finish including the actual show). If you do not wish to provide small gifts then an alternative approach can be discussed before showtime such as, a welcome message followed by Santa singing a Christmas song with the kids. We can be flexible to suit your centre.
